Chapter 1040 Ive Been Thinking About You Again 5
Qin Yinan did not know what was needling his heart, but after messily drying his hair, he slammed the hairdryer heavily on the cupboard before walking to his bed.
After taking two steps, he turned as if reminded of something. In the weakness of the moment, he swore he could see Cheng Qingchong walk out of the shower, bend her body slightly over, and dry her hair where he had stood earlier.
Qin Yinan sighed deeply and with annoyance before yanking the cover back and crawling into bed. However, his mind was filled with images of the passionate nights he had shared with Cheng Qingchong in this very bed.
The picture of the woman as she bit on her lips as he entered her; the way her lashes quivered when he kissed her; the way she snuggled underneath him, calling his name...
Qin Yinan flipped over heavily in bed and grabbed the pillow to smother his face. He tried his best to push Cheng Qingchong out of his mind, but it only made him think about her even more. As this struggle continued throughout the night, Qin Yinan eventually fell asleep.
Suddenly, Cheng Qingchong’s sobbing appeared beside his ears.
"I’m sorry... I’m sorry... I’m really sorry, Yinan...
"...I know you don’t like me... I also the only reason you were once good to be was to take revenge on me...
"...I know you hate me so deeply... but I don’t blame you... because it is my fault to begin me... and because... I like you...
"Yinan... do you know? Actually, there has been a question stuck in my heart, will you forgive me?
"Will you forgive me?"
Qin Yinan’s head shook vehemently, and he called out Cheng Qingchong’s name in his sleep. "Qingchong, Qingchong..."
Will you forgive me?
As her words circulated around his head, he could sense moisture on his face like her tears soaking him wet. He reached out to touch his face, and he frowned when it felt dry under his touch.
Once more, he heard, "Will you forgive me?"
Then, in his dream, he saw her smiling expression painted with tears. It felt like despair to him.
The woman started to shift in his dream until she dissipated in a wisp of smoke. Before she disappeared, Qin Yinan yelled out her name as he sprung up into a seated position in bed.
Qin Yinan gasped violently for air, and it took him a while to realize it was all just a dream. He raised his head to look around his familiar bedroom with his breath still coming fast. Then, he collapsed onto his bed weakly.
What is happening to me?
Once he stepped into his home, he had constantly been reminded of her, and even in his dream, she was there.
Qin Yinan kicked off the cover irritably and got out of bed. He found a pack of cigarette in the bedside table. He pulled one out and lit it. He took a puff from it before he started to blank out again, staring at the sofa in the room through the veil of smoke.
