Chapter 229 House Break

He glanced around, but no one was looking, so when no one was, he decided to teleport into the house. He teleported as close to Onogi\'s office as possible, avoiding the annoying cameras and the guards on each floor.

He was not sure where Onogi was holding it. Hitori never had time to explore his house so he was not sure where Onogi\'s bedroom was, or if he had a special room for doing this to girls– a special room with every piece of equipment.

His first shot was the office. If not the office, then it would turn this mission risky. Where are you, Reon? At least scream and let me know! Hitori wished.

He read Onogi\'s name on the door. His heart was beating the same way it did when he was in the dungeon Kuzu had offered him like a lollipop. The finale is not necessarily the hardest thing– we make it hard by rooting for it from the start, along the journey.

Hitori grabbed his wand and started reciting the killing curses. The moment I see someone move, I will kill them. I will kill them and save myself. Oh, you bet I will.

\'You will,\' said a voice in his head. But it was not Kamiya. \'You will.\'

I will, Hitori repeated.

\'You are brave, you are confident, and you are a badass.\'

I know I am, but this shit is different. I don\'t have support.

\'You have yourself, and that is all you need.\'

He nodded furiously. I have myself and that is all I need.

"Burglar\'s magic." The door clicked. Hitori pushed it and took a peek inside, no one. Then he pushed the door and pointed his wand at the other side of the room, where Onogi\'s table was and where he was supposed to be sitting.

Hitori broke into the office but was left disappointed– somewhat relieved. His chair was empty and the table stood lifelessly. He turned around and checked for Onogi to be hiding somewhere, but he saw no one– not even the cameras.

Oh, he must be expecting me. Hitori came out of the office and locked the door behind him. He peeked into the hallway, guards were roaming around with rifles in their hands.

Hitori looked to the other side and saw the elevator, then he moved his eyes back through the guards standing in the way.

He had never been to the elevator before, there was no way he could teleport. And anyway, he was getting exhausted by teleporting so frequently. He decided to teleport only when his life would be in danger, that would save him some stamina and a lot of mana.

While Hitori was trying to come up with a plan, perhaps a spell that would make them fall unconscious, or a gas that would help him– he heard the guards on the other side.

He stepped to the corner of the wall and took a peek. He saw the guards were listening to something on their Bluetooth devices– Hitori could not catch it. Suddenly, the guards started moving towards the elevator and some took the stairs beside the elevator.

Hitori thought, This is it, Onogi has realized I am here and now he is asking the guards to secure him… but on what floor?

Hitori watched the number on the elevator. The current floor was third, he hoped for it to jump to the fourth, but it fell to two, then one, and then the ground floor. He caught a glimpse of the guards going downstairs instead of climbing the stairs.

The two guards at the front door, of course! Of course. They are missing– the front guards are missing.

He stepped out, the camera was staring at him from the corner. Thanks to the hood on his head, he hid his face, but he wanted to take no chance. So he blew up the camera.

On his way bolting to the elevator, he made sure to check on the guards one more time. Yes, he saw them going downstairs, and the elevator stopping on the ground floor, then coming to the first floor, second, and finally the third floor.

The door opened and he jumped inside after taking a look around. Hitori saw the building had seven floors, the top helicopter pad excluded. It was H for the helicopter pad, but Hitori did not under what it was there for, so he pressed the four on the pad.

He arrived on the fourth floor, it was empty and he did not hear anything. If it had not started already, she might try to scream at least, but if had started already– then he was sure she would hear some sort of noise.

He went back and pressed the five. The door opened and he saw a board hanging from a chain on the ceiling, and it read: Gaming Floor. Not a floor anyone would choose to have sex on– unless they have a fetish for having sex on gaming consoles.

Hitori went back and arrived on the sixth floor. I got to check this floor. Then only the seventh remains. If she is not on this, then that leaves only one floor. I guess I have to do it.

He wanted to be ready to face them on the seventh floor more than he was ready to face them on the sixth floor. The sixth floor did not have a sign of any sort, so he was like a lost kid roaming in a mall without any directions.

Only the sixth floor was smaller than the wall. Hitori held his wand in front of him as he walked deep into the hallway. He found a door on the left side and one at the end of the hallway.

Two more doors on the right side of the hallway. Hitori first tried to eavesdrop by sticking his ear to the door. He heard nothing. He did this and checked all of the doors. When he had confirmed no one was on the residential floor of the fort, he went back to the elevator.

But shit happened. His heart tried to leap out of his chest when he saw the elevator was moving. It had climbed to the third floor and the number kept increasing. Hitori clenched the wand.

He cracked his neck and muttered, "This is where it starts, I guess." He raised the wand at the elevator\'s door and whispered, "Bakuhatsu!"

The door smashed through the hollow elevator passage. It first took a wire, then crashed on the upcoming elevator.

He stepped back and turned to the staircase. He waited, then heard the footsteps of guards marching upstairs. "Flamethrower," he chanted and the staircase was set on fire., followed by horrifying screams of the guards who were crushed alive in the elevator.

Hitori staggered to the staircase that led to the seventh floor. If I don\'t act soon, the fire will catch the seventh-floor stairs.

He jumped on the second chair and climbed two stairs at a time.
