When it was around time for Mid Autumn Festival, Yan Chen would always go out with her, and they would have a good time. However, that year, things changed. Lan Waihu had been waiting for him all night, but he never showed up. She decided to visit him despite her earlier efforts to resist.

She even changed into a more beautiful dress, the one that Yan Chen had taken notice before. Whenever she wore that dress, Yan Chen would always fix his gaze on her for quite some time before moving his eyes away.

To her surprise, Yan Chen was still busy practicing. She dared not interrupt him, so she stood aside, patiently waiting for him.

Finally, Yan Chen completed his meditation and saw her. She thought that he would be delighted to see her. After all, they had not met for almost two weeks already. It turned out that he was not very impressed. As usual, he called her to join him and practice.

She succeeded in keeping her temper within bounds and reminded him that it was the Mid Autumn Festival that day.

Yan Chen did not seem to get her point. “So what? What about the Mid Autumn Festival? Come and join me in my practice. You have been too sluggish lately. How are you going to make progress?”

Before he could finish, Lan Waihu let out a vent of frustration. “Practice! Practice! Practice! You practice! I am going out!” She then ran away in furstration.

Alone, she left the mountain and joined the festival in town. It was the most boring festival that she had ever been. She watched the shimmering lights alone and had her dinner alone. She even had to deal with the fact that all the other people, unlike her, were not alone, wandering off in pairs and minding their affairs.

Yan Chen did not catch up with her even after she left. Disappointed, she sat by the river alone and cried in self-pity while watching the reflection of the moon on the surface of the water.

She looked beautiful, with a pair of big, bright eyes, as adorable as a doll. Certainly, her appearance had drawn the attention of the hooligans by the river. Some of them approached her and flirted in a way that she could not understand.

She was upset. Their approach served as a vent to her anger. Her Kung Fu was not the most outstanding in Tianju Hall, but it surely was intimidating. They were hardly her opponents.

Swiftly, she transformed herself, from an adorable doll into a violent Lolita. With a few cuffs and kicks, they were completely defeated. She even kicked some of them into the river.

One of the injured men who fell into the river was the son of a state government official. Obviously, the man was not going to let his embarrassment go easily.

He realized that he would not be able to fight back, knowing how good her Kung Fu was. He brought some men and tailed her all the way to a restaurant. Unaware, she did not realize that her food was drugged. They took her away after she lost her consciousness.

Her Kung Fu managed to keep her partially awake though. In a confused state of mind, she knew that she was being taken away, incapable of resistance. She knew things were going wrong, but there was nothing she could do.

She thought that it was the end for her. To her surprise, she woke up and found herself in an abandoned temple, with her dress disheveled. A young man of blue robes stood in front of her, looking closely at her left arm.

There was a birthmark on her left arm with a shape the resembled the face of a fox; its size as small as a coin.

Lan Waihu had always thought that the birthmark was ugly and would always conceal it underneath her clothes. If it were not because of the accident, her birthmark would not be left uncovered.

The man was still looking at her arm attentively. Even though she was quite naïve, she still felt that his intense gaze was improper.

She was drugged, so she did not quite remember the sequence of the events that led her all the way up to this place. The man’s gaze had definitely triggered her anger. Immediately, she launched her first and fought against him, thinking that he was one of the hooligans.

The man’s Kung Fu was equally good. He did not try to justify himself in the misunderstanding. Instead, he fought back quietly.
