The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 245

“Don’t bother, he is probably going home... Did you take the pictures?” was the hoarse voice of the prime minister before a red glow shone in the darkness as he took a drag of his cigarette.

“Yes, sir,” replied the man before the floating screen went dark. Prime minister Ikeda lazily leaned his head back and blew out a puff of smoke his thoughts unknown.

Meanwhile, Lynn Feng was caught between immediately telling Zi Xingxi what was happening or delaying slightly. It seemed Zi Han wanted her to delay but who exactly was the boss between the mother and son pair? The answer was obvious.

“Yah, I can’t do that. How did you even know he is the one who tried to kill you?” she replied not hesitating anymore.

With her finger hovering above the send button she heard Zi Han say, “I have other means of finding out. You can tell her but with or without your help I am still going to break in into the office of the prime minister so make your choice.”

Lynn Feng’s jaw tightened hearing this. She was still sifting through so much information and hadn’t yet traced the person who freed that interstellar pirate. But Zi Han already knew and on top of that, he had highly classified documents that even she had to break into the military’s headquarters orbiting around Capital Star to maybe acquire some of the these documents.

Some of them were even only restricted to the Marshal’s office but Zi Han had them. That’s because Li Ran was given back door access by Yi Chen and like a worm burrowing into a beehive he could explore without anyone noticing he was even there.

Lynn Feng bit her lip with a lovely looking rose berry shade of lipstick. She heaved a sigh before saying, “Ten minutes no, no I will give you a five-minute headstart. After that, I am going to tell her.”

.....

She might have said five minutes but in her heart, she had already planned to tell Zi Xingxi four minutes in. That’s because she was worried something would happen to Zi Han.

Lynn Feng put on a serious face and her fingers began moving really fast as she typed something on the floating screen. While working she said, “I will mess with Sheba’s defenses. They will notice something is wrong in five minutes and run a diagnostic so you better be fast. Oh and um try and enter through the window like a burglar. It’s easier than the front door.”

Zi Han who was standing atop the second tallest building in Capital Star crouched down with heavy winds blowing hard against him while responding, “I understand.”

With a devilish grin on his face, he stared at the tallest building in the federation before leaping off it and disappearing into the clouds.

Sheba’s drones patrolling around the office on the top floor were moving like brain-dead zombies and couldn’t even detect an intrusion.

Zi Han whose mech was camouflaged easily floated over to the ceiling to floor windows and when he saw his target his eyes flashed with malice.

He stretched out his hand sending undiscernible vibrations messing with the nanoparticles of the glass. Because his mech was reduced to his height, Zi Han entered through the glass when the particles temporarily disintegrated.

With light unhurried footsteps, he walked over and stood facing the prime minster. “Who?” said the prime minster reaching over to press the panic button on his light brain but he soon realized the screen was dark as though it had been turned off.

The lights that were dim lit up and an unexpected face appeared before him. His panicked expression relaxed significantly like he was no longer afraid.

Zi Han who only had three minutes and twenty-two seconds left took out his handgun his expression like he wasn’t willing to negotiate.

He aimed it at him and said one sentence, “You tried to kill me so it’s only natural I take down the threat.”

Prime minister Ikeda gulped staring at the cold muzzle of the gun. A slight smile crept up his face as he said, “I was wrong. If I knew who you were I wouldn’t have tried to kill you. I was so angry at Zi Xingxi it clouded my judgment otherwise I would have figured out who you were earlier.”

Zi Han’s brow twitched hearing. “Let me guess... it has something to do with my father again?”

Prime minister Ikeda swept his entire body with a touch of lewdness in his eyes which he quickly put away.

“You truly aren’t anything like him. He wasn’t gay but you on the other hand... I didn’t expect it,” replied the prime minister pulling up images of him and Yi Chen taken when they were in the living room kissing.

It’s a good thing he had activated privacy mode in the bedroom otherwise they would have been photographed having sex.

“Han Han, you have less than three minutes,” said Lynn Feng her mind focused on fending off Sheba though her gossiping heart had been tickled.

Zi Han’s expression sank as he watched the prime minster stand up and walk over to him with obsession in his eyes.

“Are you threatening me? Is that it?” asked Zi Han his voice much colder than usual.

Prime minister Ikeda let the muzzle of the gun press against his chest his gaze never leaving Zi Han’s eyes.

With a slight quirk at the corner of his lips, he said, “No, not at all. Do you want to know about him.... your father, do you want to know?” The word father was especially a trigger for him today. Can somebody, anybody tell him who his father was?

Taking his silence as acquiescence prime minister Ikeda turned and walked over to the wall which broke into hives revealing a secret room.

Zi Han knew he had very little time left but he also wanted to know about his father. It seemed the prime minster was the only one who was eager for him to know.

His steps leisurely and calm he followed behind only for his heart to jolt in his chest seeing the well-preserved collection of identifiable royal family pieces.

Directly in front of him was a portrait of the last prince of the Federation. His blood ran cold as he subconsciously took a step back.
